At the start of this millennium, there were still over 6,750 unreached people groups in the world. To address the need of these millions of unreached, Billy Graham sponsored Amsterdam 2000 World Conference For Evangelists. 209 different nations and territories were represented at this historic event, including 600 church and mission strategists that met around 75 tables. 252 of the largest unreached people groups of at least a population of 100,000 were identified, and in a moving session, mission leaders began to adopt these people groups as theirs to target and engage in evangelism. Yet the process stopped with still half these largest UUPG’s unadopted. What happened next was a thrilling moment for missions in our generation. At Table Number 71, a group of mission leaders dreamed together about reducing the number of UUPG’s to zero. The strategic synergy led to the creation of Table 71, where these leaders since then meet 3 times a year with the singular goal to do everything possible to reach that number zero.
