Friday May 7, 2010 | Armenia Builds - Day 3 |
|
Armenia Update:
Our numbers swelled at the Call2All for Armenia on Day 3 as young leaders were able to join us for the final full day of the congress.
During the Evangelism session, a 4 minute short film was shown. The cross-cultural and cross-generational clarity of this message deeply impacted the audience and they began to weep. It was a silent film used for evangelism that did not need translation as it broached the subject of freedom and how only the gospel sets us free. In the following roundtable discussions, people were still buzzing about this and other new forms of evangelism.
Eighteen specialty workshops were held throughout the congress, all of which were well attended. Presenters included both local and international leaders and covered topics such as: "Biblical Economics in the Marketplace", "The Great Commandment and the Great Commission", and "Church Planting that Works Anywhere".
Again in the evening, both local and international presenters shared during the evening plenary on how the Word of God transforms nations. Stories of how God has worked in times past in nations like Ghana and Norway served as an inspiration for what He could do in Armenia and beyond. A strong exhortation was given that unless we are passionate about the word ourselves and hungry for more of God’s truth, we will never be able to convey it to others in a way that will minister life to them. The audience asked God to increase their thirst for Him and His Word.
