Wednesday 25th March, Live Update From South American Call2All Congress, Curitiba, Brazil.
(Em Português)
When people reconvened on the second morning, they discovered to their surprise that the gymnasium floor of the hosting church had been covered with a large colorful world map with all the omega zones of the world. This set the stage for a time of prayer and celebration that was deeply moving to the many who participated.
Over a 90 minute period, those gathered participated in 5 prayer walks across the map. The first one was the “Joshua Walk,” based on God’sword in Joshua 1:4. The participants took their shoes off and began walking prayerfully across the nations of the earth with the attitude of a servant. Some walked around the contours of continents. Others criss-crossed the nations from north to south, east to west. Many walked in two’s, asking the Lord of the nations to move at this time.
The second walk began as people gathered on the northern and western edges of the map. This second walk was called “Abraham’s Walk”, based on God’s Word to Abraham in Genesis 13 that he would inherit the land if he walked the length and breadth of the land. As the worship band began to play, those alongside the northern end of the map lifted up their voices in proclamation of praise declaring the character of God. Those on the west side of the map, linked arms and marched towards the east across the whole map doing spiritual warfare. When they finished, they changed roles. The warriors became worshippers and the worshippers became warriors. People then broke into spontaneous cheers and applause around the edge of the map and a couple of young people began to breakdance on the continents. This spontaneous celebration was deeply impactful as the dancers went from continent to continent worshipping our Father through their movements.
The third walk was called “Your Walk.” People were given post-it notes and went to an omega zone they have never been to in their life to intercede for the establishment of God’s Kingdom there. Some stood, others knelt, many took each other’s hands as they prayed together. Some cried and their tears mingled with the pigment of the map. On the post-it notes were left scripture verses, promises, petitions, and declarations of commitments.
The fourth walk was called “Our Walk.” We meditated on the 5 walks that are talked about in Ephesians 4 & 5: walk worthy, walk in the light, walk in love, walk in truth, walk wisely. Together we gathered in unity upon the continents. No one was left standing in the oceans of the world, and as the worship began people began jumping in exaltation. First those in Africa, then Latin America, then Europe and on until everyone was caught up in the moment.
Finally our fifth walk was our “Jericho Walk.” Together we circled the globe and the continents for 3 minutes in absolute silence, meditating on the greatness of our God and our dependency on Him. At the end of that time, a great shout of victory arose as people began to celebrate what God will soon do in the earth.
As the prayer time ended, the map was rolled up and people moved to the next session on church planting. There was a sense that we had identified with the dreams of God and had participated in helping make those dreams come true.
