thursday 22nd January, Reaching The last, The Least And the Lost
The Thursday morning of the Congress began with teaching and strategy sessions around orality – a way of communicating the bible that is as revolutionary to the spreading of the gospel today as the printing press was and ways to reach unengaged, unreached people groups (UUPGs).
Did you know that that there are 639 groups with over 100,000 people that no-one is trying to reach? Or that 2/3 of the world’s population cannot read and are oral learners? That’s 2,251 groups who have no chance at understanding the Gospel in their language because there is no bible or they can’t read it. Innovative new ways of reaching these people are being developed, ways to adopt and send teams to UUPGs, or the OneStory project that enables local churches to send teams for two years to a group with no bible, by the end of this time teaching enough bible stories in that language for initial conversion and discipleship.
Avery Willis, Director of the International Orality Network said: “Can you imagine investing 2 years and you could give an unreached people group of 100,000 people the bible? What an incredible way to invest 2 years of your life.” (Visit www.onestory.org for more details.)

New Video sharing community website – www.call2allmedia.org
The evening saw the launch of GPN/Call2All’s new video sharing community website call2allmedia.org, a very exciting development to enable the Body of Christ to watch and upload teaching and training videos to resource each other to see the Great Commission completed.
Kay Arthur: The Power Of The Word
Kay Arthur, co-founder of Precept Ministries International issued a strong challenge to the Congress: “What place does the Bible have in your life?” Given the state of America today, where the knowledge of God is declining all the time, we as Christians are being destroyed today too because of lack of knowledge. We have the word of God, why can we not make time to study, know and feed deeply from it’s truth? Kay exhorted us: “to study, exert yourself, to show yourself approved unto God. This is our hour, don’t miss it. Man’s extremity is God’s opportunity to make man see his absolute need of Him and turn, I beg and exhort you become a man or woman of God.”
Bruce Wilkinson, Author of The Prayer of Jabez, concluded the evening by leading the Congress in giving and pledges to help fund delegates from across the world be enabled to attend the upcoming International Call2All, Hong Kong, June 1-5th, 2009.
