Opening With A Call2Prayer
A powerful time of prayer and worship kicked off the North American Call2All Congress, Dayton, the evening of Monday 19th January, after what had been a historic day for America.
Mark Anderson, President of GPN/Call2All said:
“It’s no accident that we’re meeting together the same week that our new President is inaugurated. We are entering a new phase of world events, it’s not going to be ‘business as usual’ for the church anymore. We are experiencing increasing shakings all around the world, this is a prelude to the greatest ingathering into God’s Kingdom we have ever seen. The time is now! It is imperative we plan and work together to see the Great Commission completed.”
Eddie James and his team led an awesome time of worship, while Lou Engle, founder of The Call and Stuart Greaves, from the International House Of Prayer, Kansas City led the 650 gathered in prayer for the nation, for our leaders and in times of personal repentance, before praying for the nations, especially the unreached people groups of the earth. The resounding theme of the evening being that only God can truly change the course of a nation, rather than resting hopes in a single man, He is our source of hope for change.
Tuesday: Can The Great Commission Be Fulfilled In Our Lifetimes?
Tuesday saw the official opening of the Congress as 300 Christian leaders came together in consecration before God. The mapping of the Great Commission to "find where we are not, so that we can go" and methods of evangelism were the focus of this first afternoon.
A key message coming from the speakers at the Congress is that "God is on the move". In Tuesday evening's session the question was asked "Can The Great Commission Be Completed In Our Lifetimes?" and from veteran leaders Steve Douglass, President of CCCI and Loren Cunningham, Founder of YWAM, the answer was a resounding yes!
Steve Douglass went on the record to say: “Absolutely, the Great Commission can be fulfilled in our lifetimes; from the way God is moving today, even without some terrific eye of faith, I have been persuaded it will be fulfilled in our lifetimes and I personally think in the next decade.”
