Monday 19th January, The Call2Prayer
This special pre-Congress night brought over six hundred people together in an evening of prayer and worship. On this historic day of the US Presidential inauguration, prayer for this nation was key, but the main focus was looking to God as the source of hope for change, not resting hope in one man. The resounding theme of the evening was that only God can truly change the course of a nation, real change only comes through Him.
Eddie James and his team led a powerful time of worship before Lou Engle, founder of The Call and Stuart Greaves from the International House of Prayer, Kansas City led everyone in a time of personal repentance and prayer for America. Prayer for America and its leaders then moved into a time of prayer for the nations. Paul Eshleman, VP of Coverage for Campus Crusade for Christ talked about the unengaged unreached people groups that still exist, praying for many of these by name.
Mark Anderson, President of GPN/Call2All said: “It’s no accident that we’re meeting together the same week that our new President is inaugurated. We are entering a new phase of world events, it’s not going to be ‘business as usual’ for the church anymore. We are experiencing increasing shakings all around the world, this is a prelude to the greatest ingathering into God’s Kingdom we have ever seen. The time is now! It is imperative we plan and work together to see the Great Commission completed.” |
