Highlights from Day 3 of the East Africa Congress

Thursday began with an incredible time of worship! All nations represented in the Congress were once again celebrated in a dance procession as individuals and groups came up dancing to the stage.

4k Mapping - Finding Out Where The Gospel Is Not in Africa

David Hamilton, the Architect of the 4K Technology gave a presentation on how to use the 4K tool in ministry. He clearly spoke on the importance of intimacy with God, which leads to revelation and finally innovation. He launched for the first time the “4K Omega Zone Workbook for Africa”. Participants were able to color in small groups areas that their churches and ministries were effective, thereby seeing where we are not.

Praying and Reclaiming The Nations For God

As a symbolic act of going to the nations, the whole delegation marched to another nearby venue where a newly printed map of the world, 20 x 24 metres. Participants prayed, wept, worshipped and walked on the map from the north to the south and from the east to the west, covering all four corners of the earth prophetically as they reclaimed the nations for God. They declared the glory of God over all the earth through war cries and loud proclamation of the names and attributes of God. As the prayer session concluded, every participant stood within the borders of all nations and sang “the Lord reigns, let the earth rejoice”.

New Evangelism Models

The group re-convened at the congress venue where the innovative evangelism models where introduced. Some of the models shared where include use of “Evangelism Cube and HIV Cube”, the “Jesus Film” project, presentation from the “Global Film Network, “Kids around the World” among others.

Mark Anderson cemented the evangelism session with a challenge to share the gospel in a contextual and relevant manner across generations and nations. He highlighted the fact that the methods are not are not sacred, except the true word of God. He finished off by showing a video from the “Impact World Tour”, a successful evangelistic campaign done in the nation of Fiji.

Participants were given an early evening, in earnest preparation for a final session of commitments and processing scheduled for the next day.
